I want to make an oil painting rotreducpion website which will include a lot of old oil paintings photographs. My friend is an artist and he has a lot of photographs of these paintings. I want to use it. But I am worrying about the copyright of it.There are a lot of websites about the old paintings and I find the photographs are almost the same. Who indeed has the copyright? or who has the authorization? I can't believe that the site has the authorization of all these thousands of photographs.My friend has been collecting these photographs for ten years or more. And he can't remember clearly which come from where. Can I use them?
