Personal Statement:
I have extensive experience of managing teams in education, the arts, media and publishing, and as a former Creative Arts graduate of Bath Spa University I have a good understanding of what it means to be a student here. The inspirational beauty of the campus and the high quality of the teaching combined to offer me an exciting, challenging and motivational experience and I want to ensure that students in Music & Performing Arts have as rewarding an educational experience as I had.
On a personal level, I'm also an artist and a writer and have had exhibitions in both Bath and North Devon, most recently at the Landmark, in Ilfracombe; the Flying Fish Gallery - as part of the North Devon Festival - and Walcot Memorial Chapel. I have worked on a variety of editorials in my capacity as both artist and writer and am currently finalising my first novel, as well as an anthology of poetry.
