Our admissions process is threefold:

1. Apply in the normal way through UCAS. The only applications that are ever rejected at UCAS stage are those who do not fulfil our basic entry requirement - i.e. those who are under 21 and do not possess a post-16 qualification in a music-related subject (A level, BTEC, grade 8 or equivalents). However, for students over 21 we often accept musical experience in lieu of formal qualifications.

2. We then write to all applicants to ask them to submit a CD demo of their four best tracks. You will be sent a pro forma (see download below) with a list of questions so that you can give the panel information about your recordings (what your contribution was, how you played/wrote the material and so on).

3. The panel spends around 1-2 months reviewing the demos received; we then invite around 90 individuals for an audition day. Auditions normally occur during the first three days of the Easter break.
